sometimes I like to take a little break from mommying, and painting faces, and create fun wearable art. Since 2010, the feather trend got me like,... all the heart eyes.

I used to make earrings and headbands and sell them at my salon in Omaha. I thought maybe one or two of them would go, but I was making more and more each week. It really set up our account to make our big move out to Colorado. I got to busy setting up camp out here, then the rest of life happened. Including this little sweetie that I've been making so many headbands for before she was even made.

Now I am back, revisiting my crafty day. One day a week, even just for a few hours at nap time. The craft box is back open, and the feathers are flying.

I got the lucky chance to meet and do a little hair and makeup for the darling girl, Ashley of Ashley Anne Jewelry. Recently, Under the Garter Boudoir Photography found her while they were searching for local handmade jewelry artist. We totally hit the jackpot. Ashley isn't just a super shiney, upbeat, total hoot to talk with. She also an amazing jewelry designer. Girlfriend does all this by hand. A teacher, in her spare time... haha... Her designs appeal to every demographic. She's even channeling her inner Colorado girl and killing it with some sweet geode designs. Some of my personal favorites.

We used some of the pieces for our styled bridal boudoir shoot with Under the Garter. I snagged a few to model during my "tuesdays with Keziah" shoots for Beauty and the Baby. I couldn't wait til Valentine's week to get these photos out there.

Give your sweetie that easy hint of this photo and details of Ashley's shop on their pillow, in their lunch box, or shoot over an email. With mine, not so subtle is the way to go. Give her some ideas, write her an email with your personality traits, favorite color, and even your favorite band... she will be able to pic out the perfect piece for you! She'll have your valentine set for mothers day, birthday, and the winter holidays!
